Jean Heim has been practicing law in Lausanne since 1973, initially as a partner in the Firm of Carrard, Paschoud, Heim and Partners, then, from 1 April 2008, at the Firm of Heim Paschoud Weniger. He is able to draw on a wealth of experience in Swiss law as well as in international law.

Felix Paschoud has been practicing as a lawyer since 1982 and is accordingly able to draw on the skills acquired in his general practice of civil and criminal law since 1982. He has acted as an executor of wills in numerous inheritance cases and has given advice and acted in numerous inheritance disputes.

Professional experience

During his postgraduate studies Jean-Philippe Heim worked at Fidinter SA for almost a year, where he acquired specialist knowledge in the aooounting and audit fields. After qualifying as a lawyer he worked at the large London law firm Addleshaw Goddard LLP for six months, then at the New York firm Moynahan & Minella LLP for two months to perfect his command of English and study the principles of Anglo-Saxon law. He subsequently spent three months working in the Tax and Legal Departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers SA, in Lausanne and Geneva, on secondment. Since then he has been working closely with this Firm, in particular on board mandates.

After graduating in law from the University of Lausanne in 1989, Catherine Weniger worked as a research assistant at the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law at this same university while working on her doctoral thesis. During the same period, she continued studying at the Faculty of High Business Studies of the University of Lausanne where she was awarded a postgraduate diploma. Catherine Weniger joined the Firm of Canard, Paschoud, Heim and Partners in 1994, where she was employed until 2007. In 2008 she obtained the Advanced Professional Diploma in Employment Law from the Universities of Lausanne, Geneva, Neuchatel and Fribourg, as well as the FSA Professional Diploma in Employment Law awarded by the Swiss Bar Association.
